Killybegs is the premier Fishing Port of Ireland and has one of the best natural Harbours on this coast. It is accessible day or night and in all weathers and can accommodate vessels up to 40,000T. The Port is increasingly being used as an offshore base due to the increasing volume of work associated with the oil and gas industry. It comprises of 150m of pier at 9m CD and 300 m of pier at 12m CD (Chart Datum).

The ground varies from mud to sand. Anchorage at Lat.54° 36.5N Long. 8° 26.5W
ETA should be given 72hr, 48hr, 24 hours prior to arrival, with GT, NT, LOA and arrival and sailing draughts.
Another safe anchorage: - E-John's Point in Cassun Sound safe in all weathers.
